Aligning HR Strategy to Business Strategy

Overview

An organisation’s strategy is implemented through its people. It is therefore critical that the HR Department's people strategy and initiatives focus on achieving the organisation's strategy. If the HR strategy is not business-focussed, then little or no value is added, and HR becomes an unwarranted cost.

In the alignment process, we identify ways to add value, drive costs down, and set measures for success.

Aspects of this program include:

Review of activities that inhibit HR becoming a strategic partner;
Analyse and identify how existing HR activities align and support business strategies;
Assess the existing and required skills and capabilities in HR;
Review attraction and retention issues;
Explore levels of employee commitment and staff satisfaction;
Assess the organisation's approach to building the necessary skills and competencies to deliver the organisation's strategy.
